The standard ISO 14001

 

This standard with the ISO 14001 are pillars of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Companies. The ISO 14001 includes various requirements concerning the setting up of an environmental management system to improve the environment performances.

This standard, non-mandatory, presents many advantages. The first one is being in harmony with the low but also to anticipate the future lows. This environmental management system has another advantage which is a waste management in perpetual improvement.

Every year, an audit is held to check the adequacy of the ISO14001 requirements and what is happening in the field. Each 3 years, a renewal audit is organized, this audit puts the standard ISO 14001 back into play.

The Caves de Rauzan have been the first French wine-growers’ cooperative to obtain the standard ISO 14001 since 1998.
